Santa Maria Magdalena Chapter

On Sunday, September 26 Bishop Carlos, his wife Reverend Edna and Father Roberto Armas  joined us at Iglesis San Marco to install the 11 women of the Santa Maria Magdalene Chapter, which became the first DOK chapter in Guatemala. Both the Bishop and Fr. Roberto spoke of the strength of these 12 Daughters and the importance of women in the church. The Bishop told us that the church would not function or exist without women.

A beautiful Eucharist service was conducted in Spanish and English in honor of the new chapter. Bishop Lainfiesta, The Rev. Dr. Amrmas, Arkansas Daughters, Guatemalan Daughters and the congregation of Iglesia San Marcos all rejoiced for the new chapter's formation and institution.  Following the service a meal for the entire congregation was served in celebration. It was such a joyful day! It was the perfect end to a journey that we are certain was led by the Holy Spirit.
